Nightlight

When night folds around me, and thunder fills the sky
I’m cold, all alone, can’t escape the storm, I can’t hide
But you shine through the dark, soft but so clear like a nightlight
Soon my fears melt away, ‘cause you make everything feel just right

So tuck me in, close to you

Soon a wishing star appears, ‘cause you made the clouds roll away
And just a look in your eyes puts the spinning world at bay

When dark wraps around me, and black is all that’s in sight
You shine a path, across my floor, like a nightlight
When I feel like giving up, I wanna throw it all away and cry
You softly touch my heart, and you remind me why
